Meet Ben

Ben Wong
Investment Analyst

I’ve enjoyed over a decade of combined experience of the buying and selling sides of U.S. and Global Emerging Market Equities. Outside the U.S., I’ve been responsible for investments made in Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, and Taiwan.

A little bit more about Ben...

Before joining Motley Fool Wealth Management, I was a member of the #1-ranked Institutional Investor research team at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. As a fundamentals-focused, business-first investor, I appreciate Motley Fool Wealth Management's unwavering focus on business model, valuation, and quality when choosing investments for our clients.

I became interested in investing during my second year of college. At that point, I had to chalk up two years spent studying Mechanical Engineering to a “sunk cost,” but I've never looked back from there. I graduated with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Statistics. In many ways, investing is a never-ending educational journey – studying companies, industries, management, technology, government, policies, and geopolitics. There’s never a shortage of interesting factors that impact the market from day to day. It’s my job to try and make sense of it all, and how it could affect your portfolio.
