A little bit more about Isaac...
After obtaining my master’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I focused on international economics, I began my career at Fidelity Investments and worked there for nearly eight years. I held various roles, including advising new 401(k) enrollees and serving as a VP wealth planner for high-net-worth clients. At Fidelity, I discovered immense personal satisfaction in helping clients achieve their financial objectives—a motivation that has remained constant throughout my career. Before joining Motley Fool Wealth Management, I also earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2015 and worked as a Senior Portfolio Strategist at First Citizens Wealth.
Motivated by a desire to help others achieve their financial goals, I believe in a client-centered approach, emphasizing the importance of understanding each client's unique circumstances, preferences, and aspirations. I collaborate closely with clients and their families to identify their ideal future and create an actionable roadmap towards achieving their financial goals.
My early influences shaped my perspective on money. Growing up with a large family in an impoverished area of the country, people around me didn’t talk about 401(k)s, 529s, or stock investing. Instead, it was about paying the rent, saving for a modest vacation, and finding ways to lower the grocery bills. All the while, my parents always found enough “stretch” in a dollar to help out a friend or family member in need—often self-sacrificing. I learned that if you’re thoughtful about where to allocate your dollar, it can become more efficient and go further. More importantly, I learned that we all have stresses in life, no matter how much money we have. Having a higher net worth simply allows you to focus on different aspects of life. Efficiently allocating capital can help address anxiety, so you can pursue what makes you happy.
