A little bit more about Katie...
Ever since my first job as a grocery store cashier, I have always loved serving people and bringing joy to all of my interactions. Connecting with others energizes me, and it complements my passion for goal-oriented planning – these qualities together make me excited and grateful to support clients in their financial lives!
While studying Economics at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, I gained my first hands-on experience in financial client support at a family office during my summers and holiday breaks. Later I graduated from Saint Michael’s as the recipient of the Economics Department Honors, and I began my career at a large wealth management firm in downtown Boston where I worked directly with financial advisors.
I came to the Client Experience Team at Fool Wealth so I could work directly with clients and help them on their unique journey toward their financial goals. The Foolish approach stands out because of our commitment to long-term strategies. Our Portfolio Managers don’t bet on one specific stock for a six-month period – instead, our strategies are designed to empower clients as owners of companies that we believe will perform well over time, and hopefully can offer superior results for their portfolios.
Like many professionals in the finance industry, my earliest lessons about money were formed long before I ever stepped into the classroom. My grandfather was my first influence when it comes to finances – he’s the child of immigrants, was raised by a single mother, and went on to build a successful career for himself in construction. To this day, he credits his success to his ability to plan for the future, his mother’s example of hard work, and his investments. His experiences taught me from a young age the importance of saving early and appreciating the sacrifices of previous generations.
