A little bit more about Kay...
My journey into the world of finance began quite differently than you might expect. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, where I learned the value of patience and precision—skills I use every day in the wealth management space. Then, I found my way to a career in client services because I love to support others, and specifically was encouraged by a mentor of mine to pursue a role in the investing industry. She knew that I could take my desire to help people and make a meaningful impact on their ability to be financially secure. I took my first stride in the industry as a Retail Sales Consultant at Vanguard. There, I developed a keen interest in the potential power of investments, which laid the foundation for my current role with Motley Fool Wealth Management. Securing my series 66 and Series 7 licenses has also equipped me with the necessary tools to guide clients on their unique paths.
Long before I began my career, my parents were my earliest influence on the way I think about money. They taught me the importance of saving diligently—and they opened my eyes to the fact that “saving” is just the beginning of a much larger financial picture. Today, the Foolish investing philosophy is critical to my daily work. It sets up clients for hopeful success for the long haul, helping them withstand the ever-changing markets so they can feel more confident as they work toward their financial goals. It’s a pleasure to be a part of that journey with them!
