A little bit more about Sean...
When Motley Fool Wealth Management was established in 2014 to help “Foolish” investors offload the time and stress of managing their portfolios, I was fortunate to be a part of launching the firm as one of our first Senior Wealth Advisors. For seven years before that, I worked as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. and had previously earned my Bachelor’s in Consumer Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!). My professional designations also include CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Enrolled Agent®.
Investor and consumer behavior has always fascinated me—that’s one of the reasons why I’m passionate about the Foolish investing approach. It’s unique in that it focuses on training behavior. In my opinion, investors are likely to have a few positions (hopefully) do exceptionally well, while a few positions may fall close to zero. But, because of compounding, the winners should shine and power overall portfolio performance, as long as we hold onto them long-term.
Not only do I have the pleasure of supporting clients and their families, but they also inspire me and influence the way that I think about money. When I see investors achieve life-changing investment gains on solidly compounding companies, it unlocks my perspective on what time and money can accomplish.
