A little bit more about Stephanie...
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with seven years of experience providing comprehensive financial planning services to individuals and families. By analyzing clients’ financial situations, developing tailored strategies, and delivering actionable advice, I help align them toward their unique long-term goals.
My journey in the finance industry began right out of college (University of Virginia—go Hoos!) working at a BB&T branch near hospitals, where I noticed many high-earning medical professionals struggled with financial conversations. Some had a lack of experience around saving and investing, while others were generally uncomfortable talking about money. Realizing I could empower individuals by simplifying these topics and breaking the stigma is what motivated me to become a wealth advisor. It’s a daily opportunity to help others and give them peace and confidence in their financial decisions.
After working for seven years as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo and TIAA, I became a financial planning specialist with our parent company, The Motley Fool, LLC, from late 2021 to early 2025. Coming to Motley Fool Wealth Management, I love that our firm has specialized roles for Wealth Advisors and Portfolio Managers, yet maintains accessibility to clients. Asset allocation and risk management require a different set of skills than stock picking, and Fool Wealth clients get the best of both.
A strong influence on my approach to money management was my family, who instilled the importance of budgeting and the principle of “paying yourself first.” My parents made financial conversations a regular part of our life, teaching us to make informed decisions through participatory learning and open discussions. As kids we were given tasks like calculating the tip on a dinner bill, creating savings goals for holidays, and helping pick activities on family vacations according to a budget. My parents even took the time to explain how they made decisions around debt, like car payments and mortgages. Through all of these lessons, my biggest takeaway was that conversations about money don’t need to be taboo—in fact, education is key to creating financial freedom. I hope to offer the same sense of ease and confidence to my clients.
Get to know Stephanie...

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to travel. My husband and I have been fortunate enough to visit many beautiful places, and the bucket list keeps growing. My favorite trips have been to Alaska, Italy and the Dominican Republic, all for different reasons. We are now starting to think about shifting to family travel and bringing along our two little girls, who are six and three years old.

What is your favorite place in the whole world?
My parents' house. My family is very close and thankfully within a three-hour radius, with my parents in the middle. I love watching us all come together, the house be loud, kids running around, cards and games being played. It’s my favorite place to be.

What is your favorite food?
I love pasta. It can be made in so many different ways but I really love them all. Pasta is always my go-to order.
